Dear Family Members and Friends,

We, at Regency Integrated Health Services, have worked diligently during this COVID-19 pandemic to keep all patients and staff safe and virus free. We understand that, as family members and friends to our patients, it is difficult to abstain from visiting with loved ones and we are pleased to offer several types of visitation based on the Health and Human Services update on visitation from March 22, 2021.

Below are the types of visits that the facility can offer:

  1. Essential Caregiver/Compassionate Caregiver Visitation.
    1. Per HHSC, each patient has the right to delegate TWO (2) Essential Caregivers who will be granted access and can visit at the same time during essential caregiver visitation.
    2. Essential caregiver visitation can begin upon patient admission with no waiting period.
    3. Essential Caregiver visitation is available between the hours of 7am-7pm daily and is available seven days a week. Exceptions to these hours and times can be approved by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
    4. A negative COVID-19 test is no longer required.
    5. Upon arrival the visitor will be screened for a fever of (T≥100.4oF), symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and answer screening questions. Any visitor with COVID-19 signs or symptoms or COVID-19 positive will be denied entry for visitation.
    6. Face masks and face shields must be worn; however, additional PPE may be required due to the patient’s COVID-19 status. PPE (supplied by facility) must be worn for the entire visit. The patient must also wear a face mask (if tolerated) for the duration of the visit.
    7. Visitors are not allowed to eat, drink, or remove their mask or required PPE for any reason during the visitation.
    8. The facility requires hand sanitizing before the visit.
    9. Essential Caregiver are to go directly to and from the patient room and are not permitted to loiter in common areas, other patient rooms, hallways, or therapy gyms.
    10. We can also offer outside visitation if requested.

  2. Non-Essential Caregiver Visitation
  1. Indoor and outdoor visitation will be available to patients who have been in the facility for greater than 14 days, Post COVID-19 within the last 90 days or 2 weeks after being fully vaccinated. Per HHSC, each new admission that does not meet the above guidelines is required to be in quarantined for 14 days from the date of admission. Quarantine excludes the patient from non- essential caregiver visitation. However, Essential Caregiver visitation is still available to each patient during the 14-day quarantine period. See above for Essential Caregiver visitation requirements.
  2. Visitation is scheduled between the hours of 7am-7pm.Exceptions to these hours and times can be approved by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
